Confirmation preparation is done at the 8th grade level in the Archdiocese of
Washington.
Our Confirmation prep classes meet on Monday nights from 6:30-7:45
pm (beginning the last week of September and usually ending the first week of May).
Our program began with an orientation meeting for parents and candidates on September
18, 2006, and then our first classes on September 25. Program details, calendar,
forms, and community service requirements were given out to each family as a packet.
There is a Confirmation fee of $80 (helps cover cost of retreat, bus transportation,
additonal Confirmation materials, etc.), in addition to the RE registration fee.

- October 23, 2007 (Tuesday) -- NET Retreat in the Parish Center (5:00-8:00 p.m.)
- November 12, 2007 -- Sponsor Forms Due
- December 10, 2007 -- Reconciliation Service (during Confirmation Session)
- January 28, 2008 (Wednesday) -- Confirmation Name Forms & Saint Report Due
- January 30, 2008 -- Second Candidate/Parent's Meeting (7:30 p.m. Parish Center)
- February 25, 2008 -- Reconciliation Service (during Confirmation Session)
- March 15, 2008 (Saturday) -- Mandatory Day Retreat at St. Francis of Assisi Parish Center
- March 31, 2008--Both of these are due:
- Service Essay
- Letter to the Bishop
- April 7, 2008 -- Faith Sharing Checklist Due
- Confirmation Date -- Not yet assigned by the Archdiocese
