FRED stands for Saint Francis Religious EDucation. Chances are, you are in high school, or will be some day. FRED is a high school youth program run through St. Francis of Assisi Church in Derwood.

If you are in high school, then consider yourself a part of FRED. Now all you have to do is show up! We have a WEEKLY YOUTH MASS AT 5 PM ON SUNDAYS. After Mass, we all meet downstairs for some kick butt, in your face, how 'bout them apples youth gathering.

Every week guarantees fun, food, lots of friends, new people to meet, discussions and talks about God and what Jesus is all about, games, activities, prizes, skits, comedy, music, and much, much more.

Also join us through out the year for our Spring and Fall retreats, service projects, Work camps, pilgrimages lock outs and many other snap happy group activities. Check out the photos from past FRED events.

The great part is, here at FRED, we don't care where you are from, what religion you are, if your white, black, red, yellow, green, or any other color, or if you listen to rap, country, rock and roll, or oldies, you are welcome here!! See, FRED is about learning about who Jesus is. This is a Catholic youth program, and you get to learn more about the Catholic faith, but all are welcome, cause we think that learning about Jesus is just about the coolest thing in the world!!

OUR GOAL: Lead teens closer to Christ. Teens can...

1. Celebrate the Eucharist - 5pm every Sunday
2. Learn about the teachings of Christ and his Church
3. Develop personal relationships with your priests, youth minister, Core team, and each other.
4. Participate in many fun and fulfilling activities
5. Live as disciples of Jesus in today's world

FRED is open to all high school students in grades 9 through 12

FRED meets Sunday night 6:00 to 7:45 in the Parish Center under the church
