    • What is Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament?

Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistintc Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".

During Eucharistc Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.

In its fullest essence ... Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!" (www.catholic-church.org/kuwait/eucharistic_adoration.htm)

    • What are other forms of Communal Adoration?

In  addition to the Liturgy and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, we come together to praise God at prayer meetings , worship services, Novenas,  as well as praising God and requesting his help for eachother through prayer chains where people are united in prayer for common causes although they are not physically together..

    • Adoration at St. Francis of Assisi Parish

St. Francis offers a weekly Eucharistic Adoration from 9:30 am to 12 pm on Fridays year-round in the church.

      First Friday Eucharistic Adoration
      • Attendees to the First Friday Eucharistic Adoration begin at 7:30 pm with Mass, after which they pray the Patriotic Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Eucharistic Adoration follows the prayers for one to two hours. Throughout the prayers and adoration, the pastor also hears Confessions. The First Friday Eucharistic Adoration encourages participants to grow spiritually and develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. All are welcome to attend.

      Lamb of God Charismatic Prayer
      • Members meet from 7:30-8:45 pm the first Tuesday of every month. Participants  engage  in worship,  sing  hymns,  pray  for  people  who  have requested prayers and discuss readings for the upcoming Sunday liturgy. The ministry helps parishioners gain a deeper understanding of the liturgy and allows participants to engage in fellowship through Scripture study in a small group environment. Meetings are held in the chapel in the Rectory. Everyone is welcome!

      SFA Parish Prayer Chain
      • Members of the St. Francis of Assisi Prayer Chain pray for the intentions of those requested. Parishioners who have a prayer request can call  or e-mail the coordinator, who conveys it to the approximately 20 people on the prayer chain. Volunteer opportunities include the need for another coordinator to check prayer requests on a daily basis and forward them to members. New members of the prayer chain are always welcome.
